Jennifer Pecoraro

OWNER/ DIRECTOR/ INSTRUCTOR

 Jen decided to open CODA thirteen years ago, in 2005. An accomplished teacher and choreographer, Jen has not only molded her students into well-rounded, successful dancers, but has provided them with a positive sense of self, allowing them to achieve feats they never thought possible.

As a young dancer, Jen trained under the direction of Jacques d’Amboise of the National Dance Institute then continued her training through local dance studios. She graduated the Freehold Regional Fine and Performing Arts Center at Howell High School, where she was chosen to perform at the New World School of the Arts in Miami, Fl. From there she went on to Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, where she graduated with a BFA in dance in May 2002, as to which she credits all her success to. She continues her education through attending teacher seminars, workshops and conventions.

Jen has received numerous scholarships and awards for her talent in dancing and her devotion to her students. Her choreography has been showcased at regional and national level competitions, high school dance teams and at local and corporate benefits for charity. Just recently, Jen has been awarded the “Best Choreography” Award for her routines 13 years in a row! Her students have gone on to receive numerous dance championship titles, overall high scores and acceptance into high school and college level dance programs and dance teams.

Having explored several career opportunities in the past, Jen has found teaching dance to be her one true calling and has a passion for it no one can diminish. Jen currently resides in Jackson, NJ with her husband, Mike, her 2 daughters, Siena  & Lucia, and her cockapoo, Shea.

Stephanie Di Cosmo

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR/ CHOREOGRAPHER/ INSTRUCTOR

 Stephanie has been Jen’s right hand throughout this incredible journey since day one and if the assistant director at CODA. Stephanie has grown up in a studio setting since she was 6 years old and was a valued member of her competing dance company for 9 years. She has had the pleasure of being part of a professional dance company, which gave her numerous performance opportunities. Throughout the years she has also donated her time to other charities such as Light the Night, Dancers Responding to Aids, the Steven Russin Children Assistance Program, Camp Robin and the DDD. Stephanie works with children of all ages as well as adults with special needs. She is loved by all for her lovable demeanor and positive persona!

Stephanie is a valued instructor of our award winning company dancers. Her students have been awarded top honors with overall high scores, regional title wins and won numerous specialty awards. Stephanie has been awarded "Best Choreography" 7 years in a row as well as numerous awards for Most Entertaining and Excellence in Tap! She is thrilled to be such a big part of the CODA family and looks forward to many years of success and achievement.


Dawn Coiro

 Instructor/Choreographer

Dawn has been instructing and choreographing for the past 15 years in the New Jersey area.  Her love of dance began in Brooklyn, NY when she started her dance training at the age of 4 and went on to become a certified member of Dance Educators Of America.  Dawn continues to perfect her skills by attending classes taught by master tap instructors in New York City, such as, Mike Minery, Gregg Russell, Debbi Dee and Nicholas Young from the broadway show, Stomp.  Dawns ability to renew her dance education enables her to pass along the most up to date tap dance technique available to her students.

During dance competitions in the New Jersey area, Dawn has had award winning success including high score awards, and numerous special awards recognizing her choreography.

Dawn is looking forward to continue educating students and sharing her love of dance towards a successful dance year.

Lauren Lewis

Instructor/Choreographer

 Lauren Lewis has been a dance instructor for the last 20 years. Her lifelong dance education was rounded out by studies at both Joffrey and Julliard, as well as some completed studies at Rutgers, Mason Gross School of the Arts. She specializes in ballet, jazz and lyrical. Through her love of music and dance, Lauren aspires to instill this love and fun into the hearts of her students.

Lauren has won numerous awards for her choreography and technique. Most recently winning the national title of Best Choreographer. Lauen is thrilled to work with her CODA students, who have become more like family in the 7 years she has been on staff!

Dana Szymanski

Instructor/Choreographer

 Dana is an award-winning choreographer and teacher who taught at many local studios before finding a great dynamic between herself and the director of CODA, Jen Pecoraro. She is ecstatic to be part of the amazing staff here at Center Of Dance Arts and is nothing but a huge asset.

Dana studied at the Freehold Regional Fine and Performing Arts Center at Howell High School where she was chosen to perform in Miami, Fl. at New World School of the Arts. Pursuing her dance career, she went on to graduate Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in May 2002 with a BFA in dance. During her dance career, Dana has been awarded title of VIP Dancer at two national level competitions, scholarships for her excellence in Tap and recognition for her commitment to dance. Dana continues to study at Broadway Dance Center and Hudson Dance and Movement Academy.

As a professional instructor, Dana has gone on to receive countless awards for her choreography. Her students have received top awards at competitions including Overall High Scores, Title Winners and numerous special awards.

In the past she has also worked as the director of the dance program at the Marlboro Swim Club. As we are in our 13th year at CODA, Dana finds each day here is more exciting than the last. She loves every minute she spends with her students and is thrilled for another successful dance season.

Dana currently resides in Hoboken, NJ and loves living the city life but will forever be a shore girl at heart.
